About ASEAN Dentistry Awards 2025
Proudly hosted for the first time in Asia, the ASEAN Dentistry Awards 2025 is brought to you by Dental Tribune ASEAN and Dental Media Group, in partnership with the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (AAAD) and the Malaysian Association of Aesthetic Dentistry (MAAD).
The ASEAN Dentistry Awards 2025 is a prestigious competition dedicated to celebrating excellence across the diverse fields of dentistry. Open to dental professionals, technicians and students, the program recognizes outstanding achievements by awarding top practitioners in various specialized categories. Designed to provide worldwide recognition, the Awards not only honor the skills and dedication of dental experts but also draw public attention to the exceptional quality of work shaping the future of dentistry in ASEAN.

Eligibility
Who Can Participate?
Participants must be dentists, dental specialists, dental technicians or dental students.
Valid Dentistry Unplugged Ticket Required
Case submissions are only accepted from participants who have purchased a valid ticket to the Dentistry Unplugged event.
One Case Per Category, Unlimited Categories
No restriction on the number of entries a participant may submit; however, each participant is permitted to submit only one case per category.
Need to Switch Categories? No Problem!
Participants may request to change the initially selected category for their entry at any time prior to the final submission deadline.
Completed Cases Only
All clinical cases for the ASEAN Dentistry Awards 2025 must be completed by September 30, 2025.
Submission via Evalato
Entries must be submitted in English via the official platform, Evalato. Access is granted upon registration.
Registration and Evaluation
Registration and Submission
Registering and submitting entries for the ASEAN Dentistry Awards 2025 is quick and easy via the Evalato platform. Select your category of interest and begin the registration.
Accessing the Submission Portal
Once registered, check your email for your personal access link to the submission portal. For enhanced security, a PIN code is also included in the email; enter it if prompted by the system.

Approval
Entry Review and Approval Process
Submitted entries are first reviewed to ensure all required fields are complete and comply with the competition guidelines. Approved entries proceed to the evaluation phase. If an entry is rejected, our team will provide feedback and guidance for resubmission. Note: entries submitted near the deadline are not eligible for resubmission if rejected.
Evaluation and Scoring
All approved entries within each category are judged individually based on established criteria. The final score for each entry is calculated as the average of the scores assigned by each jury.
Judging
Expert Jury Panel
Our jury comprises of esteemed professors, researchers, top clinicians, and industry leaders from across ASEAN and beyond, chosen for their expertise and insight into dental advancements. All submissions are evaluated anonymously to ensure fairness and impartiality.
Fair and Specialized Evaluation
Each entry is assessed by a panel of 2 to 4 judges, selected based on their specific areas of expertise. To maintain fairness and transparency, judges are not assigned to categories where they have any affiliations with participating entries, ensuring an unbiased evaluation process.
Scoring
Score normalization adjusts each judge’s scores to a common scale, ensuring consistent evaluations and minimizing discrepancies in scoring.

Award Achievement
Awards and Submission Rules
– Participants may submit only one case per category but are allowed to submit multiple cases across different categories.
– Participants may also enter the Brand Award category if their case meets the specific criteria and requirements set for that award.
Awards & Recognition
Winners will receive an award, have their case showcased on stage during the gala dinner, and be featured in the Dental Tribune ASEAN newspaper’s post-congress edition. They may also be selected for international coverage in Dental Tribune International and invited to speak at both the Dental Tribune ASEAN and International webinars.

Requirements
- Participants must be dentists, dental technicians, dental professionals or dental students.
- Dentists submitting clinical cases must inform and get consent from their patients that facial photographs may be used publicly.
- If the case involves work by a dental technician, the dentist must inform the technician to submit the case.
- All clinical treatment included in submitted cases must be fully completed by September 30th, 2025 to qualify for the contest.
Participation in different categories
Each participant can submit only one case per category.
Each participant can submit multiple cases as long as they are in different categories.
- Participants may also enter the Brand Award category if their case meets the specific criteria and requirements set for that award.
Judging process
Stage 1:
The organizing body reviews and approves each clinical case within 48 hours of submission. After the submission deadline is over, the jury is given access to all cases and the judging process begins.
Stage 2:
Judging rounds : Round 1 will short list candidates to the second round of judging. Round 1 will involve judging from the juries from the Asean countries and shortlisted candidates will further advance to the second round of judging by the top tier of judges.
Voting round : The jury evaluate all the cases and winners in each category. Evaluation is based on a 10-point scale for each of the judging criteria in the respective categories. The judging criteria are different in each category. Each criterion has a different weight. We are implementing score normalization – a mathematical formula to ensure that every entry is scored based on the same set of standards, regardless of how many judges are evaluating the program submissions. Essentially, it helps reduce variation in judging by standardizing each judge’s scores.

Each jury member votes independently of the other jury members. Results are automatically calculated and averaged , and the case with the highest number of points wins the award in the respective category.
Aiming for maximum objectivity of the judging process, all cases are anonymized.
Three (3) shortlisted results and cases from each category will be announced at the award ceremony. Only the main winner will be granted the award and called to the stage.

Each submission must include a brief clinical case description in English, following the specific requirements for your selected category.
Image files must not exceed 25 MB in size. Please refer to your category for detailed image specifications.
All entries must be submitted via Evalato.com, our official awards platform designed to make the submission process smooth and user-friendly. After entering your personal and professional details, you can upload your case description and images at your convenience.
Submissions open on May 7th, 2025, and the final deadline is September 30th, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
