Proudly hosted for the first time in Asia, the ASEAN Dentistry Awards 2025 is brought to you by Dental Tribune ASEAN and Dental Media Group, in partnership with the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (AAAD) and the Malaysian Association of Aesthetic Dentistry (MAAD).

This competition is open to all dentists, dental specialists, dental technicians, and dental students.
Important Submission Guidelines:
Ticket Requirement:
To ensure you’re part of the full Dentistry Unplugged experience, only those who have purchased a valid ticket to the Dentistry Unplugged event can submit cases.
Submitting Your Cases:
Feel free to submit as many entries as you wish across different categories! However, please note that you can only submit one case per specific category.
Changing Categories:
We understand things can change. If you decide you’d like to switch the category for your submission, you can easily request this at any point before the final submission deadline.
Case Completion Deadline:
All clinical cases submitted for the awards must be completed by September 30th, 2025.
How to Submit: All entries must be provided in English through our dedicated platform, Evalato. You’ll receive access details to Evalato once you complete your event registration.

A Gentle Reminder
To ensure you have ample time for any potential resubmissions, we highly recommend submitting your case well before the final deadline, as entries received just before the cutoff might not have a window for re-evaluation if initially rejected.
Our Unbiased Evaluation & Scoring
Once approved, every entry in its respective category is thoroughly judged by our jury, individually and against clear, pre-defined criteria. To ensure the highest level of fairness, your final score will be determined by averaging the scores given by each jury member.

Eligibility to Participate
This competition welcomes entries from dentists, dental technicians, dental professionals, and dental students.
Ethical Use of Patient Photography
For any clinical cases featuring patient facial photographs, it is essential that you discuss this with your patients and secure their explicit consent for the public use of these images.
Recognizing Dental Technician Contributions
If your case prominently showcases the expertise of a dental technician, the collaborating dentist is responsible for informing the technician. It is then the dental technician who should formally submit their specific work, ensuring they meet all the award’s eligibility criteria.
Case Completion Timeline
To be eligible, all clinical treatment within your submitted cases must be fully finalized by September 30th, 2025.

How Your Case is Judged?
Our commitment to fairness and celebrating genuine dental innovation is reflected in our robust, multi-stage judging process for the ASEAN Dentistry Awards.
Stage 1: The Initial Step
After your submission, our dedicated organizing team will quickly review and approve your clinical case within 48 hours, confirming it meets all competition guidelines. Once the submission window closes, our expert jury gains full access, and the detailed judging officially commences.
Stage 2: Deep Dive into Excellence
Our comprehensive evaluation unfolds in two crucial rounds:-
A) Regional Selection: The first round of judging involves our esteemed jury members from across the ASEAN nations. They will meticulously assess cases to shortlist the top candidates who will then move forward.
B) Final Expert Review: These shortlisted entries advance to the second round, where they are evaluated by our most experienced and top-tier judges, ensuring the highest level of scrutiny and expertise.
Our Commitment to Fair Scoring
Precision in Evaluation:
Jurors evaluate all cases using a 10-point scale against specific, pre-defined criteria that are tailored to each category. Each criterion carries a distinct weight, ensuring a relevant and nuanced assessment.
Ensuring Consistency (Score Normalization):
To eliminate bias and maintain consistency, we employ a sophisticated score normalization method. This mathematical formula standardizes scores from all judges, guaranteeing every entry is measured against the same high standards.
Independent & Objective:
Every jury member casts their vote independently. The results are then automatically calculated and averaged, with the case achieving the highest average score proudly winning its category.
Anonymity for Impartiality:
To uphold the highest level of objectivity, all submitted cases are anonymized throughout the entire judging process.

The Grand Reveal
At the highly anticipated awards ceremony, we will announce the three (3) shortlisted finalists and their cases from each category. While all three are recognized for their outstanding work, the prestigious award itself will be presented to, and accepted on stage by, the main winner of each category.
